This is a midweek pocket of time to co-work alongside fellow members in a relaxed café setting—whether you’re tackling emails, writing something great, or just want to feel around other people doing the same. Come when you can, stay as long as you'd like.

What to Know:

• Group Chat: Please download GroupMe on [iOS] or [Android]. We’ll drop you into a private GroupMe thread the day before—your backstage pass to the night. And while there’s no facilitator, one of your fellow members (your Plan Captain) is the go-to for keeping things rolling. Basically, they’ve got the map, but you’re all writing the adventure.
  
• Sign up as a Plan Captain: Captains are Closer’s go-to person for small tasks that make group plans run smoothly—like grabbing tickets, finding the meetup spot, or keeping the conversation going. No need to facilitate—just show up, enjoy, and help things flow. Plan Captains get 25% off Closer Plans events.

Event Policies

Distraction-Free Policy
Closer is all about authentic connection. To keep the focus on the moment, we ask attendees to keep phones away during events. Let’s trade screens for real conversations.

Refund Policy
Refunds are automatically issued within 2–5 business days if an event is canceled. While we’re unable to offer refunds for illness, we do allow ticket transfers—just email us the name of the new attendee before the event. If an event is rescheduled, you can request a refund within 48 hours of the update if the new date doesn’t work for you. These policies help us keep Closer running smoothly and accessible to all.

Outdoor Event Weather Policy
Unless the event is officially canceled, it’s completely up to you whether you’d still like to go. If there’s light rain or a chance of a few rumbles of thunder, trust your gut and do what feels right. Once the group chat opens, feel free to check in with everyone and see how folks are feeling.
